its a CORKER!

just a simple design for the cork board i wanted to model a few design and get Andy to choose the one he likes best, i always like to run thing by Andy so i know im doing what he wants, and his agreed to my designs.

periscope






Another thing that needs to be model is the periscope for the sub is this a important item because it gets use in the film so i throught il get some source images and it may spark some ideas.

Sound

ok so have got a sound design student onboard to help with the sound and the sound effects for the movie, he will be given the animatic when it finished by andy when he can work on it because the timing will be the same as the final film, i contract him on facebook to ask him,



As well as this i have contacted a music composer to produce a sound track for the film he will be getting the same animaitc as Dave the sound guy, and the same as Dave i contacted him on facebook about three weeks ago. but no reposense so i saw he was on facebook chat so i ask and his up for helping so thats all good.

the script

the problem from the get go, the script, its not that it wasn't a strong story to began with, but needed some work to it to give it depth and so it could relate to the audience more, after talking to dan and mike they raised some good points and give us ideas on how to improve the story itself, unluckily for andy how had to re write two time.

then the lecture with Dave Bull storyboard artist from Aardman we went thought the story with him and got feed back, he was looking for that GOLDEN moment in the film when the kid connects with the conga eel, and at that point it wasn't strong enough,

so again Andy went back to the drawing board, but now after seeing the storyboard im confident with are story, and full prays go to Andy his be working on the script for weeks and finally his hard work paid off.

mike made a good point at least we confronted to problem this early instead working through the year and working it could be better to late.

Bad Penguin

aga



i no its not the best drawing but was just a quick sketch when the look was fresh in my mind. we want a old fashioned aga in the sub, i i will attempt to model this in the next few days.

we wanted to show the background story of the character, and the way we throughout we could achieve this was to show photographs of the kids childhood and how he come to this time when the movie starts. i did a few quick sketches for Andy to develop from.

i take my job as produce to heart it is a major part of the film making process and im glad Andy recognised my skill in this area. i will need to make sure everyone is doing the work Andy has told them to produce and keep on track of the production schedule,the days we are in i do try to go round to every and see what they are doing and if they can finish on time, the facebook page help majority with this because all the members of the team use it to keep everyone updated with there work. i already aproced a sound designer to work with us and trying to contact a composer for are film, just a another day in the office!

i wanted to produce some mood-boards to get a feel for the sub because its made of wood, the first thing that come into my head was a log cable so i got some images that would relate to this as well the butches knife mood-board which Andy choose the one he like and that the one i will do a model for.

we had a talk with dan, he made us rise some problems about the story, one element was the bag full of fish and how this would work in the film if its possible to produce as a team, would it be done. so how we need to find a solution.

Dan rised a good point about producing a twitter for the deep, its a good idea because we can keep people up to date with the producion process of the film and give the film a good buzz about our movie.

my First Job

i wanted to get a schedule done from the start so the team know what we will be doing for the first term, and this helps keeping people focused throughout.

My Roles

i will be Producer for the deep, as well some modelling, some secondary animation and post producing, im glad with the group im with, i have faith we can produce and very high quality animation.
